Editorial Policy

How articles get made

Every piece on outdoorgrove.com follows the same path: research, draft, review against primary sources, then publish. Nothing goes out that we would not act on ourselves.

Sourcing

We prefer primary sources — manufacturer documentation, official guidance, published research — over other blogs. When we cite a figure, we link to where it came from.

Testing and first-hand experience

Where we have used something ourselves, we say so and describe the conditions. Where we have not, we say that plainly rather than implying otherwise.

Updates

Articles are reviewed periodically. The published and updated dates on each post are real, and we do not refresh a date without changing the substance.

Corrections

If we get something wrong we fix it and note the correction at the foot of the article. Spot a mistake? Please tell us via the contact page.

Independence

Advertisers and affiliate partners never see articles before publication and never influence our conclusions. Sponsored posts are labelled as such.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to help with research, outlining or proofreading. A human writes, verifies and takes responsibility for everything published.
